The Day of the Dead is a celebration of the one day a year that the dead can reunite with the living and there is no more potent symbol for this important celebration than the decorated Catrina, or sugar skull.
The catrina skull is rendered here with a crown of Fridah Kahlo style flowers decorated with round turquoise coloured beads. The links form a circle around the wrist and the design closes with a toggle clasp.
