The designer Maria Belen takes inspiration from the Coyolxāuhqui Stone in this highly original mixed metal design.
The stone was discovered during excavations in Mexico City in the 1980s and depicts the Moon Goddess being cast out of the sky by the Sun God. Assumed to be the root of Aztec beliefs in how the universe was created, Maria Belen takes the dagger motif as depicted on the stone and renders it in striking detail in this iconic piece of jewellery.
Solid copper outlines the curves and lines of the design in this limited edition mixed metal statement piece of jewellery.
